Although most of us see employee development as someone else’s problem the fact is that most of us have to teach and/or train others to do various aspects of the job. The degree to which we succeed is based on our skills to mentor and coach others. In this workshop we will learn to strengthen our coaching skills and habits, as well as recognize personality traits that impact development and communication effectiveness.

Tools & Methods in Leadership

In this workshop we will explore the motivators for work performance. We will look at leadership styles and identify which leadership styles work best under the given circumstances. We will explore that “safe” work environment and how people react to development, discipline and follow-up. This workshop will provide you with key elements of leadership engagement and outcomes.

This workshop will examine barriers to effective team participation and results. We will look at the various roles team members play within the team and how these behaviors enhance or detract from overall effectiveness. We will explore team building methods, learn to use the S.M.A.R.T. goals process and understand the effects of rewards and recognition.

Project Management

In this workshop, we will explore how projects can be completed with great success and effectiveness by using the power of good communications, presentations and a disciplined approach to problem-solving. We will try methods that can clarify unspoken or misidentified expectation, identify team needs and membership, and develop clear project definitions and boundaries. We will also look at the deliverables with an eye to cost and schedule.

Crisis Management

We all deal with crises in our work. As a leader, your role is to effectively navigate between daily fires and true crisis situations. This workshop will focus on your understanding of the real nature of crisis and how to reach the most desirable outcome possible. We will analyze models of human behavior under crisis and develop tools to help us recognize alternate and effective directions when confronted with crisis.

In this workshop we will analyze what emotional intelligence is and how to develop it for better interactions and results.  We will assess our Emotional Intelligence and learn techniques and tools to further our understanding of how our reactions to emotional content and the reactions of others can be managed in an intelligent and productive way.
